What is Silk Screen Printing?
The basic method involves creating a stencil on a fine mesh screen, and then pushing ink (or paint, in the case of artwork and posters) through to create an imprint of your design on the surface beneath.
Silk screen printing produces some of the most vivid and colourful images that are also incredible durable which should last for years. The ink or paint also lies in layers on the surface of the fabric or paper, which gives the print a pleasingly tactile quality.
Silk Screen printing provides excellent durability as the inks involved where designed to be used on a range of different surfaces. In addition to the inks physical properties, the act of pressing the silk screen ink into the fabric further increases the longevity of the design. A tshirt or polo tee that uses the silk screen process will stand up to years of washes and physical abuse.
